A riveting, exhausting, and heart felt look inside the patterns of an abusive marriage. Written in letter form from a mother to her son, it is a story of heartbreak. I appreciate the way the writer brings to light many patterns (excuses,etc), and in the end allows the main character to learn how to stand on her own two feet.
