DIY Poject: Entry Wall Makeover

Thanks to some Christmas cheer I get to re-do a few areas in our house. The biggest eye sore for me personally was our entry way wall. We've had this large painting (although beautiful) hanging since we were married. Due to it's age and the style of the frame, it was time to come down. Instead of replacing it with a large picture, I thought it would be fun to put together a gallery wall centered around family and travels. Hours were spent scouring Pinterest for ideas!

For the main "center piece" I chose a canvas wrap that I had printed at the local Walgreens. *gasp* Yes, I just admitted to using their photo service. It was actually a first for me and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm already planning to print a few more canvas wraps!

It was fun bargain hunting and finding all the right "pieces" of the puzzle. I only spent about $40 in total. Now, I'm pumped for a few more DIY projects in the next few weeks. Look at home!

Update: To answer a few questions about some of the items...The Eiffle Tower was a gift, but I believe it came from Hobby Lobby. Everything else was purchased either at Flea Markets, TJ Maxx, Garage Sales, Target, Kirklands or Hobby Lobby. :)

PSS: Thanks to One Artsy Mama & Romance On A Dime for the features!

I love what you did with your wall! I have a few blank walls in my house (especially over our couch) that I want to do something like this with. But I never know what things to put on the wall. Where all did you shop?

Such a great idea! I have a blah mirror hanging up but I am kind of over the mirror thing. I need to try this!

Where did you find the Eiffel Tower. I've been looking for a flat one. My husband proposed there, so it's pretty special to us.

I love gallery walls, we've been busy putting up several this year, but I think this one is my favorite: http://dejongdreamhouse.blogspot.com/2012/11/growing-up-gallery.html
