More Than Just Busy

When people ask us how we are doing I feel like we have loaded answers just brimming beneath the surface. Do I smile and say "just busy" or do I really fill them in with the details? Because we are busy. But isn't everyone? The nitty gritty is that we are busy trying to sell our home, working around the clock, filling out paperwork for DSS, and finding a new church home. Oh, and we are also getting ready for a big family vacation, too. Some days I just reel from the heaviness of it all.

I can't complain. Because life is good. We are blessed. Taken care of. It's just that I worry of missing the more important things in life. I haven't posted a "counting blessings" in a while, so I thought I should start that again. Maybe this year, I will find my #1000. ;-)

#151 It's Monday. Why am I thankful? Because I have pounds of coffee at my disposal. (even made a big cup for Josh this morning...we both needed it today. ;-)

#152 Relaxing weekends. Two weekends in a row and we had time to relax. I'm beginning to not recognize myself. HA!

#153 Books. Oh, surprised are you? Ha! I love my books. Reading Taylor Dean's books and I must say I've been hooked. Can't wait to share the reviews with you!

#154 Quiet Time. It helps me to spend time praying and giving areas in my life back to Christ.

#155 New Recipes. I love trying to recipes and falling in love with them.

Hope you have a wonderful and blessed Monday!

I agree... there is always something to be grateful for even in the thick of things!

I try to lead a non-busy life focusing on things that are important to me but there are times when outside circumstances seem to take over. Just like last week and possibly this week with my Mom's surgery and my stray dog's pregnancy. When it rains, it pours, lol!

My motto is 'One day at a time' and that helps me deal with everything that seems to happen at once :)! Oh, and lots of prayers help too!

Have a great day and another cup of coffee!

Great post! You do have a full and "busy" life, but I can see why you'd feel overwhelmed yet blessed at the same time! :)

Hope you're having a great start to this week! God bless you my friend! - R

That is a lot of busy, but aren't you glad that it will be the worth-it more than just kind of busy?

I've not heard of Taylor Dean, so naturally I'm curious and looking forward to reading your upcoming reviews!

I can relate to you so much! I think we all get in the habit of just saying "I'm fine" when people ask. But sometimes I just wanna spill it all out on how stressed I am or worried about finding a job and ect. I wonder what people would say lol

I just made me an almond milk latte this morn. :-) its the little things! Have a good day!

Getting a house ready to sell is a lot of work ... you will be ready for a vacation. And I will pray you find a great church ... one you can serve in and be served.

Fondly,
Glenda
