Guest Post: Incorporating an Enchanting Library into a Lovely Home

I’ve always dreamed of having a library in my home and one day when I do have my own home, I can’t wait to incorporate a dreamy library that will be perfect to relax in! What I love most about libraries is how they take you far away from the realities of life and temporarily make you feel like you’re somewhere magical and new. However, despite their dreamy nature, enchanting libraries are sometimes hard to incorporate into a home, especially if you have a ton of books like I do! Here are some ideas on how to creatively incorporate a library into your home without cramping your space.

Transform a Guest Bedroom into a Library
If you have a guest bedroom but rarely have guests, why not transform the interior into a library? You can still keep the guest bedroom by having a sofa bed that will pull out when guests arrive but freeing up most of the space will allow you to have bookcases filled with books too! Matter of fact, find sofa beds for sale and consider placing one in the corner of your space for a comfortable guest retreat surrounded by books galore. It will look lovely with a day bed in the room and everywhere else you will creatively have shelves covered with all of your favorite novels.

Use an Office Space as a Library Space too!
If you work at home but have no space for your books, why not incorporate books into your office? I’ve seen many creative offices on Pinterest where bookcases surround the desk area or become a focal point on the wall. Matter of fact, I came across a rounded bookcase on Pinterest that would look amazing set against a wall or even in the middle of the room (depending on the design) and would easily produce a functional yet trendy décor element in an office.

Integrating Both Décor and Books on Furniture
Another great idea, especially if you are short on space for books in your home, is using shelves for both décor pieces and books. Alternate books with pretty plates, picture frames, and other wonderful pieces that you love and the look will be complete. Plus, this is also an innovative way to use space, especially when you desire to show off pretty elements and favorite books simultaneously.

So now that I’ve filled your heads with ideas on how to utilize your space so that you can incorporate your fun books, what book are you currently reading? Also, how do you plan on using your space to show off your favorite reads?

Great ideas! Love them :)
I've just finished some Agatha Christie Books, do you know them? They're detective stories :)

Thank you Heather and I've never read Agatha Christie, but have always wanted to! Will have to check them out! I'm reading The Vampire Diaries right now. Very different from the show but still a fun and quick read none the less. ;)

I do use some of my space to show off my reads now, but not so much as I'd like! I have a few books "creatively" stacked on top of one of my bookcases! But I need more bookcases! LOL

I'm reading two books right now, both are excellent. One is "House Rules" by Picoult, I love her books! The second is "The Choice" by Robert Whitlow, which is an excellent read thus far, also! I liked this guest post!
