Guest Post: 5 Dates That Will Make Your Love Stronger

I love coming up with creative dates to go on with my boyfriend. My ideas never seem to run out and in fact, I’m usually left with having not enough time to go on all of these fun dates! However, I am thankful that I have plenty of ideas for dates because this means I’ll never run out (hopefully)! If you’ve found yourself in a dating slump or need to just want to add some variety, here are some of the dates that I highly recommend you going on!

Write a Song Together – BK and I love to sing to songs on the radio together, so I can definitely see us writing a song together! Of course it doesn’t have to be serious – it can be goofy and down right fun! However, for you musical couples out there, there’s nothing more romantic than stringing away on your guitar and singing a romantic melody together. I have no doubt it will bring the both of you together even more as well.

Eat Creatively One Day for $5 Only – Sure, it’s a silly game, but wouldn’t it be fun? The idea is to enjoy one another’s company and the true test is how much you can make your money stretch. Go food shopping alone or separate and share with one another what you would eat in a day with only five dollars. Maybe you’ll eat healthy and get a smoothie and a small sandwich, or maybe you’ll get five dollar hot dogs and spread them out all day! Have fun with this inventive date and you’ll certainly make one another laugh with your food choices.

Picnic Anywhere – It’s Time to be Creative! – Going on a picnic is one of my favorite pastimes. Every summer BK (my boyfriend) and I go on a picnic at the beach at I love it. We actually grill our own food on a portable BBQ and usually watch the sunset. It’s a very romantic way to catch up and enjoy one another’s company. Plus, with picnic coolers our food stays cool until we reach the beach and plus, it makes going to the beach easy because some coolers even come with wheels!

Write a Journal – This is my personal favorite date idea. When I first met BK I gave him a journal with entries about how I felt about him and I also mentioned some of our dates. I haven’t written it in such a long time and I need to write in it once more! Have your husband or loved one write in a journal documenting your favorite moments and dates and you’ll create a beautiful memory, just like something out of the film The Notebook!

Collect Something Together – I think this is a fun date idea because if you find a commonality in regards to collector pieces, you can shop together, check out photos together, and have fun exchanging tidbits of knowledge with one another! My parents fell in love over going antique shopping with one another and I love that aspect of their relationship. This is something I’ve yet to do with BK but I plan on doing it in the future!

So hopefully some or all of these dates get your mind going and make you excited to plan your own dates. There are always more dates to create and more activities to have fun with. So next time you feel bored, refer to this list or make a list on your own and you’ll never run out of ideas! Thanks so much Heather for the guest post!
