Charleston!

When we set sail for Charleston there was one thing on my must try list. Treats from the infamous chocolate shops! And let me tell you they did not disappoint! My choice was a bear claw: sweet and salty with the perfect texture of caramel and cashews. Not to mention the treat was nearly the size of my hand! If someone wants to send a box of these my way for Christmas, well you would be my new buddy forever and ever, amen.

Even though it was hotter than blazes when we traveled, we still took time to explore and investigate little back allies. This little walk way was no exception! I was in love with the iron gates and ivy everywhere. The attention to detail in Charleston was amazing! I'm inspired by old and eccentric beauty of famous downtown areas in Amercia.  And of course Josh loves anything with old architecture!

We also explored Boon Hall Plantation. The home itself was actually smaller than I had imagined. However, what it may have lacked in size, it made up in the area of beauty and amenities! The  garden was by far my favorite part. The flowers were beautiful and offered such a welcoming site to the home. Not to mention the old pathways around the home.

The famous tree lined drive was gorgeous! There was a bride and groom having their portraits taking there. Can you imagine how beautiful their portraits must be? So exquisite!

I'm not sure what prompted us to order Cappuccino in 90+ weather, but we did. And it was marvelous! Creamy, rich and delightful to every single taste bud.

Charleston was a beautiful community! Maybe some day we'll have more time to explore. And eat more bear claws, too! ;-)
