Over The Pond {everything green...}

"No one should ever say that it was my ignorance if I did or showed forth anything however small according to God’s good pleasure; but let this be your conclusion and let it so be thought, that – as is the perfect truth – it was the gift of God." -Saint Patrick
I have never been so nervous about traveling before. It wasn't necessarily traveling there, as it was apprehension about where I was going. Have you ever wanted to do something, or see something desperately, and then when the time came your heart raced, palm sweaty? That was me.

Would it really be the green country you hear about so often? Were the people as kind as I'd hoped? Would the scenes be what I'd dreamed of? Would I "fit"?
Thankfully, I can say a resounding "Yes, yes, yes, and YES".

.

From the Cliffs of Moher, to Limerick City, to Galway Bay, to walking the streets of Dublin...it was a wonderful, breathtaking, and beautiful experience. The people are very much what I expected. I fell in love with every village and town we visited.

So, so blessed. I still can't believe we got to go. Normally, I'm busy scheming up our next stop post travel. Not this time. I just want to relish the memories, enjoy the pictures, and ponder the things I learned. I'm just a little travel-sick (opposite of home-sick), but hopefully I'll be back together, but for the better, and soon.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!!
Don't forget to wear green, and read a bit about St. Patrick. :)

Those with high expectations live in terror of those expectations being shattered. I so relate.
