Stress + Coffee = Random Tidbits

"Whispers of Spring..."

Random Tidbits today...

  • Last week was beyond crazy with work and other projects. I was SO stressed, it is not funny. Luckily, things are starting to smooth out and I am feeling much better about everything. But let's just say I consumed more coffee last week than I have in a long, long time...in order to get me through the days!
  • Sunday evening, we drove around for some photography sessions. LOVED it. Hence, where the Cherry Blossom Photos came from (at least...that's what I think that is...right? Hm...) I also got some great downtown photos that I loved...more to come soon! In the mean time, I've been doing good with my 365 project that I started a couple of weeks ago...
  • Exercising has been going great...I'm pretty faithful in getting some time on the track and doing Pilates. I am just wanting to focus on some strength training a bit more now. Oh, and I want to get some more aerobics going!
  • Over the weekend we had one of the most amazing meals evah! Home-made sausage pizza, with an amazing salad...topped off with Cookie Dough and Pistachio GELATO. Heaven.
  • I'm officially in love with the Dark Cherry Mocha's from Starbucks. The other day I heard a girl order a "Dark Cherry White Mocha"...ohhhhh, even for this girl, THAT sounded good.
  • Yes, I did just talk about coffee in two different bullets. Yes, make that three. And yes, I am an addict, but if you've followed by blog for a while, you already knew that...
So that has been life for me in a nut shell, gonna do my best to stay more on schedule with posting, hope you are all having a lovely, gorgeous day. :) Cheers!

I'm so jealous that it's nice enough where you are for that tree to look so beautiful! Things are just now starting to look slightly green around here!

Beautiful photo as always, Heather!

Actually, I do believe that is a Tulip Tree. I can see why you might think it was a cherry tree, but cherry trees usually bloom later in the year...and I know that the Tulip Trees all around where I live are starting to blossom beautifully like that! Where the blossoms fairly large or on their way to being so? e.g. more than 2 or 2 1/2 inches? Tulip Tree blossoms are much larger than cherry tree blossoms.

Guess I just nerded out. haha But I really, REALLY like trees and that kind of tree happens to be a fave of mine as well as simply FASCINATING and I want one for my own yard someday SO badly!!! ;)

Have a GREAT day!

Rachel

Oh, by the way, keep in mind that I was TOLD that those are Tulip Trees . . . .I haven't researched them myself but I thought they were and they are gorgeous, either way. If I'm wrong, I wanted a disclaimer. LOL :-D

My coffee is strong and proud today - I hear you sister!

I stand corrected! From all I read/all the photos and descriptions I can find on the WWW, this is actually a type of MAGNOLIA tree!! It's called the Mulan Magnolia. And it's so lovely!! Just wanted to share my new-found knowledge! It looks identical to that type of tree! :)

I totally feel you. Last week seems like hell and I have no idea where the time went. As for the Dark Cherry Mochas, I work at Starbucks and it is a total woman drink, ha! Whenever I tell a woman to sample it, I say "you're a woman, you'll love it." Mmmmmm

I am right with you on the coffee. In fact, it is what gets me going to the gym - and the studies say, a little coffee before a workout will actually help boost your benefits. That - and Pandora on my blackberry while I run.

I often say "My life, brought to you by The Dunk."

Best,

Dark cherry mocha's are amazing! But a white cherry mocha does sound good, I'm very tempted to find out if my local Starbucks will make me one. Hope things calm down for you this week :D

I adore your photography. Beautiful!

Paris is one of my favorite cities. One of my favorite trips, my husband surprised me for my birthday with a long weekend in Paris. I can't wait to take our son. Magical!

The cherry blossom make me so happy....I can't wait till they bloom here. My backyard is connected to my neighbor acres full of cherry trees.
