Well, while eating my salad last night, I had quite the revelation. When a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...she WILL find a way...
One of my brothers loves to drink Chocolate Mint Water.
Yall know where this is going, right? Hee hee. I asked hubby to take me to one of the local food markets that carries it. I found the Chocolate water, which is free of sugar. And bought 2 liters of it. I could hear angels singing...hallelujah, halleluja.... :D :D :D Just kidding.
So anyway, I've been dieting for several reasons:- I needed a time for cleansing my body!
- It was time to start "reworking" my diet!
- The diet uses real food, not boxed, processed "healthy meals".
- Less processed food!
- More organic food!
Even though it is tempting to give up, I know that I can...as a friend reminded me (Rachel) with God's help I CAN! :)
What about you? What steps do you take to ensure a healthy eating lifestyle? Do you frequent any health/nutrition blogs? Any healthy cooking websites?

I may have to try that water!
Stopping by from SITS - good luck with your diet!
Gosh, I think we could all stand to improve in this department, including me.
For me and the Hubs, we try to eat at home as often as possible. I cook at least 3 meatless meals per week and we try to eat fresh veggies at every meal.
PS Stopping by from SITS.
I am trying to go as Organic as I possibly can, although it is quite expensive to do so, so I definitely have limitations there. I scour the internet for good blogs & encouragement, and LOVE how we feel when we're eating better! I've been trying to get back in the swing of working out and am trying to find sneaky ways of incorporating more veggies in our diet since my hubby doesn't like them.
Stay focused -- YOU CAN DO THIS with GOD's HELP!!!! :) Keep on keepin' on!
I must try that water! YUM!
I try to cook as many meals at home as possible. It saves up on a lot of calories
I have never heard of that water! Sounds yum-o!

Chocolate water?! What will they think of next?!!?
That's wonderful! :) I am also trying to eat more healthy and live a healthier lifestyle! I have found www.fitceleb.com to be a fun resource to turn to for celeb fitness inspiraton, nutrition ideas, etc.
Good job sweetie - so glad you are taking the healthy route! For me I stick clear of fast food of course and only shop at health food markets. Here in CA we have a place called Trader Joes which only has organic food. I also stay away from deep fried food and love the book Fat Food Flush...it's not about being skinny, lol, but learning what type of foods are good for your body. You should check it out, it really helped me. Good luck - I know you can do it and I am going to check out that chocolate water, yum!
Oh and I'm happy that you have a button - I'm going to stick it on my site right now! Have a great day. ;)
good luck! That can be so hard, yet so rewarding!
So, about this water...where can I find it?
Is it a good chocolate mint taste or a wannabe chocolate mint taste??
Good for you. So proud of you!!!!! :)
I knew I shouldn't have clicked your link. ;) I make sure my kids have healthy fruits and vegetables at each meal...not so much for myself. :s
Back in august I began an exhustive food elimination process to figure out some food allergy issues. One of the things I had to give up was sugar. At first I thought no sugar would be horrible and while it definately has it's moments it hasn't been too bad. I use natural honey, pure maple syrup and agave syrup to sweeten things and they work really well. Honey and agave syrup are both fairly cheap and work really well in tea, baked goods, or even stir frys and sauces that usually call for syrup. While maple syrup is great in cereal such as oatmeal and baked beans, sweet potoatoes, anywhere you would use brown sugar. Hope that helps. Good luck with your diet.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love yours by the way!!! Keep up the hard work sister. It will pay off.

I work out... A LOT! And I try to eat unprocessed foods - no white flours, rice, pasta's or sugar. I'm not that great at sticking to it, but I've come to really not enjoy eating the evil bleached white stuff.
That water looks great! I've seen the plain mint which I need to buy to try soon. I'm not too much of a chocoholic--carbs are my evil!
As for me, I'm probably about 60-70% organic, very few processed foods if I can help it. Some weeks are better than others. Thank goodness for Trader Joe's coming to Nashville a little over a year ago--it makes cooking and eating mostly organics MUCH easier.
Right now the hardest part to me is adding more fruit. I'm not much of a fruit lover--much prefer the veggies! But I'm finding that eating an orange or banana for a snack is more filling and satisfying than anything unhealthy!
You can do it! Here's to detoxing!
Chocolate water?! WOW! YUM! I've been limiting by snacking my not eating anything after 9'o'clock every night, just drinking water. As a night owl who likes to snack that's been tough for me! Look like I'll have to find some of that chocolate water!
GOOD FOR YOU:)
I'M GONNA HAVE TO CHECK OUT THIS CHOCOLATE WATER YOU SPEAK OF!
VERY INTER-R-R-RESS-STING!!!
Chocolate Water!!!! Oh my goodness, lead the way girl, I want some of that!!
Being "healthy" is so very difficult. Kudos to you for making a concerted effort! I try to work out twice a week and I figure that's step one, now I have to find a way to work out outside my fitness class... Keep it up!
Have an Extraordinary Day!
We both just started diets then. Mine is to attempt to avoid massive sweets, soda, over-eating, potato chips, fatty fried foods, and to eat more vegetables or lean meat, less out to eat foods.
But watch out for the organic price. Mostly anything is organic if it wasn't made in a factory! And most people have to go by regulations as do organics too.

Check out that article and save you two's pocket hun.
looove your blog! I am going to follow! :)
oh and I have some health tips for Christians on my blog and a really good health blog is www.bobbimccormick.com!
Good for you, girl! I am trying to eat less process foods myself! I've had MetroMint water but have never seen the chocolate kind. I will have to search it out!!
And good for you, relying on Christ to give you strength through this.
I'm a fan of clean eating, real food, slow food.
I've never heard of chocolate water, but it sounds interesting!
I try very hard to make sure that our diets are flexible - no rigid plans to follow, no strict guidebooks or systems. Since I work so much it can be difficult to eat healthy, but I make a point of shopping only once a week and of going by a menu. That way there's no last-minute food runs for processed, convenience items. I make a point of adding extra veggies to recipes or switching out some things for healthier options (whole wheat pasta instead of regular, etc).
We also work out a lot. Chris goes to the gym about 4 days a week, and I run about 3-4 days a week.
Good for you for making such a positive change in your life!
Good for you girl! I need to try and do no sugars for a bit!
OMGosh! I LOVE metromint water! all the flavors are so tasty and the peppermint one seems to taste ice cold even if it's not in the fridge.
I am trying to do the same as you!!
Definitely going to be looking for that water!!
