Giant Stockings...

We had a fantastic weekend, filled to the brim with friends, family and a date day! After a small dinner party on Friday night with both of our parents...and feasting on White Sauce Enchiladas & Cheesecake, we were ready for a date day on Saturday!!!

Heading off to the city, we decided to finally watch the Blind Side. Wow....what an awesome movie!!! I just love Bullock's movies, so I was very excited to see this one, since I'd heard so much about it! And you wanna know something embarrassing?? I had absolutely no idea that Tim McGraw was in the movie. I just didn't recognize him! I probably wouldn't have even known until I read a review on the movie here AFTER we'd seen the movie. HA! Craziness.

After the movie, we enjoyed a large drive through light display that was filled with lots of of fun figures...lighted Ice Skaters, Golfing Pola Bears, and such. I could seriously drive around every night taking in lights and never get tired of it!! Dinner was at Mimi's Cafe over Baked French Onion Soup & giant muffins. Yummo!

Now, I'm just trying to figure out some fun surprises to stuff the hubby's stocking. He chose the stockings this year. Nice BIG, GIANT, Stockings. You'd think he's excited about getting gifts or something...

So, what kind of gifts do you look forward to getting in your stocking this year???

Sounds like a great weekend indeed! I love stocking presents - sometimes those can be the best. I was going to get my boyfriend a Clapper as a joke in his, but then read reviews that they tend to catch fire. Not too fun, haha!

Oh, your experience with The Blindside was exactly like mine! LOVED it, but I had no idea that was Tim McGraw - Hubby asked on the way home, "Whadya think Faith Hill thought of that scene in the bedroom?" and I said, "I have no idea; why in the world would Faith Hill think anything at all of it?!"
Your fireplace is amazing, and the stockings are perfect for it.

I cannot wait to see that movie! Partially because I am a HUGE Michael Oher and Baltimore Ravens fan, but also because the story is just so amazing! I will tell you that IRL Oher is such an incredibly nice and humble guy. :)

Those stockings are HUGE! I was just thinking the other day of what to put in my fiancé's. He is a big fan of chocolate so there will probably be lots of that.

Happy holidays!! xo

I'm dying to see that movie! Love the christmas pictures! Too cute.

I love making stockings! (and getting them too! haha) My parents still give us stockings along with Ricardo and I giving one to each other. One thing my dad puts in our are scratch offs! It's a fun little idea of course we compete to see who "wins" the most. And usually we get about $5-10 out of it. Different idea but we seem to enjoy them:)
