Oh, the Joy!

Christmas Time is here...last night while enjoying my first ever cup of Caramel Brulee Latte from Starbucks...I was busy reciting the movie quote "Like Christmas In A Cup" in my head. The quote is from Andrew Paxton in The Proposal. Pretty much one of the best movie lines ever.

But, I digress... With most of our decorations up, I'm excited to make a couple final purchases to make our home a Christmas wonderland. I need a Tree Skirt, and a clear vase of sorts to keep fun goodies in! I'm also dying for my very own Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. Tell me I need one!!! ;-) And we still have to put the outside lights up!

I've been watching as many Christmas movies as I can possibly sneak in. This weekend we enjoyed The Christmas Choir with my bro and sis in law. I'd never heard of it before, but I thought it was very touching!

Christmas Movies Watched (To Date): Home Alone, The Christmas Choir, The Christmas Carol, Little Women, Christmas With the Kranks...and counting!

Looking forward to: A Charlie Brown Christmas, While You Were Sleeping, It's A Wonderful Life, Home Alone 2, Elf, The Holiday Affair, White Christmas...

Is there a good Christmas movie that I should add to my list? If so, please share!

"I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It's not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love. ~ Linus"

PS. I have never, ever seen A Christmas Story. I've been told that is unbelievable.

I am a huge fan of The Polar Express (book and movie) and Love Actually (though not specifically Christmas, it's great this time of year!).

This time of the year is the best!

I love the old Christmas shows that I grew up with--Charlie Brown, the Grinch, Rudolph, etc. My son got hooked on The Polar Express last year so we are looking forward to seeing it again. And you need a Charlie Brown tree!

Oh, lots of movies and tv specials!
Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer - my favorite, Frosty the Snowman, The Grinch, Miracle on 34th Street (the original, with Natalie Wood as Susan,) This Christmas, Sleepless in Seattle, The Santa Clause, the Holiday, The Night They Saved Christmas (a little dated and sappy, but we love it,) and one that's not officialy a Christmas movie, but since two Christmases are featured prominently in it, I count it anyway - Room for One More, starring Cary Grant.
Oh, by the way, you can get that pitiful little Charlie Brown tree here:

Ooh thanks for the short list! I've yet to watch many of the classics most kids grow up watching, but I'm trying to make up for it this year. Last year I saw Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for the first time :)

A girl after my own heart! I just went online and printed off the Christmas TV schedule so that I wouldn't miss any Christmas movies from now until Christmas. :-)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story (which they will play 24/7 on TBS Christmas Eve and Christmas Day....my husband has a slight addiction to the movie....slight....lol), and the ever popular claymation movies- Rudolph and Frosty!
