Let's Go To The Hop!

Last weekend we visited with my parents in Missouri! After an exhaustive shopping spree, we were ready for a relaxing night at home. Since we were due for a date night, I thought it would be fun to throw together a themed date night...

We did a 50's theme dinner at home for two! I did my research, and settled on a few key items for entertainment: Scrabble, which was rumored to be invented in the 50's by an architect (how fitting!), a classic Spencer Tracy Film, and completed with a soda fountain menu!

With a Best of the 50's Rock music playing in the background, we had old fashioned cheeseburgers and strawberry shakes! I even used my soda fountain glasses that I had inherited from my grandmother. Not to mention the classic Fiesta that I have been collecting since a teenager!! ;-)

It was my first attempt at a themed date night at home. I think we should do it again real soon...I wonder what era we should choose next?

Have yall hosted a themed dinner? If so, what kind?

CUTE! My mom used to do themed dinners for our family but I haven't ever done one for just me and my hubby. I should do that! Thanks for the inspiration!

That is so cute that you do a "theme" I would have never thought of something like that, but it makes it something extra special! I love those milkshake glasses :)
