Around The World We Go...

Josh & I love to travel! We both have traveled extensively all over the USA and the world. When we started dating we counted up how many states we had visited. At that point we had both been to 17 states, and traveled in other countries. He has traveled and lived in Italy, Mexico, & Spain. I had lived in another state, Indianapolis, IN, for a short stint while working as a counselor for teen girls. Before I'd met Josh I'd also traveled to Mexico & Guatemala for mission trips as well. Guatemala has definitely been one of the most beautiful places I've been! One of these days I'll have to post pictures! And stories...did you know I've climbed a volcano twice? Oh boy, stories indeed.

On our first date, you would have found us looking through travel books in Barnes and Noble. We talked about the places we wanted to go. Since being married we've traveled to France, the Smokey Mountains, and three out of state trips. Not to mention short road trips just for the fun...I've lost count!!

A few weeks ago some friends of ours asked to meet up with us in Eureka Springs. It was a last minute road trip, and we thought it would be a blast! We ended up staying at the Crescent Hotel. Noted as one of the most "haunted" hotels in the US. While a lot of creepy and sad stories have taken place there...I can't say that I found anything too haunted about it, HA! ;-)

However I was enthralled with the beautiful landscaping and architecture. While we stayed there, at least 3 weddings took place! I snapped this shot, as the bride and groom walked down a tree covered walkway behind the hotel.

We dined at Rogues Manor, which is featured in Southern Living. The food was wonderful, and the atmosphere charming! We also got to ride the downtown trolley...I LOVE riding them!

It was a fun trip!! I want to go back again soon. And believe it or not, we are gearing up for another road trip elsewhere shortly, this time with family. =)

So how about you, do you enjoy traveling? What is one of the best places you have ever been?

Such fun!!! My husband LOVES to travel and has been to Europe a few times, as well as many states in the USA. My travel experience is limited, but he has several years on me so it's no surprise he has been more places than I have.
In January we are going to Hawaii and are SOOOO excited!!! That's the farthest I've ever been! :) Someday I want to visit Scotland & Ireland. That's my dream...

I love to travel, it's probably my favourite thing... I've been to over 30 countries! My aim is to have been to more countries than my age in years!

My favourite place would probably be Bali, Indonesia closely followed by the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico.

xx

We LOVE traveling but haven't got to do a whole lot together. I've spent a month in Japan when I was a teen, been all over this country, and to Mexico. G.I. Joe has been to Iraq, Germany, Kuwait...no big surprises with those.

But together we spent one anniversary (Christmas Eve!) in NYC right before I got pregnant. And we love going to Disney World together. I'm trying to talk him into taking me to France one day but that's not likely!

Your pictures from this trip are beautiful! I love the one with the bride and and her flowers :)

I think it’s awesome that you’ve both done so much traveling and for so many good causes. That is so cool that you’ve climbed a volcano. Not many people can say that! Your recent trip to Eureka Springs sounds wonderful. I think I would have been scared to stay at that hotel. I love the photos you took! You have an eye for photography.

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do too and the best place I have ever been is with Geof on our recent trip to Hawaii. I’ve never seen a place more beautiful.

I looove traveling! I've been to 39 states (I think, something like that!) and I'd love to hit them all. I'm pretty sure I could travel full time and still have more to discover! :)
