...Be Mine!

Valentines & my birthday (day afater)
was
AMAZING.

Josh snuck into my house on Valentines morning leaving me 4 dozen roses (hot pink, dark red, peach, and baby pink)!!! Along with godiva chocolate, chocolate covered biscotti, a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks (my latest cravings)!!!

I think I'm going to dry most of them, and use some of the petals to add to the already large container of poptpourri that I've made of the flowers he's been giving me during our courtship!

But I am happy to say he was NOT the only one with a surprise up his sleeve. I got him a gift card to Olive Garden (his favorite Restaurant), with a bag of his favorite candy, and homeade cinnamon rolls! :)

I think we were probably on a really good sugar high...ha! This was our first Valentines "together" as a couple. Last year we both served at our church Valetines Banquet. Who would have known back then that we'd be engaged only a year later! I love it!

We spent some time at Lake Dardanelle, walking along the lake, talking, and Josh played guitar. It had been a long time since I'd just sat and listened to him play. He's so good...and he gets so lost in the music. The musician side of him is mysterious and oh so romantic...

Speaking of guitars, one of the first songs he taught me on guitar was "On A Night Like This" by Dave Barnes. If you haven't heard it, listen to it! It's going to be used in our wedding. Which I am super excited about!

Well after all that Josh took me to White House Black Market and told me I wasn't allowed to leave until I picked out an outfit for my birthday. New shirt, scarf, jeans, and black peeptoe pumps were the purchases! Here's us sporting the new "outfit"....

Now if that wasn't one post dripping in sap, I don't know what was!!! HA!

I have to say MERCI, to all you wonderful people have been giving me songs to ponder for the wedding slideshow and ceremony. I've been happily digging through the many songs you left for me to hear. Yall are much to kind!

Next project to tackle: Wedding Vows!!! Oh yeah baby!

To answer your question about Froop...it's a delish German yogurt. If you ever get the chance to try it, you should.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, it always makes my day. It's also nice to see someone else who has a birthday freakishly close to Valentines Day (mine is the 16th,) because I feel the two holidays are always squished together. I'm a newlywed and my hubby had to label cards and gifts "valentines," and "birthday," so he wouldn't get them confused!

Thanks for for visiting my blog! I was reading some of your posts and saw that you were looking for a song. If you aren't already done with that project, Ray Lamontagne sings "You Are the Best Thing" and its such a cute song! Best of luck!
