I've been busy trying to decide the flavor of my wedding cake. I refuse to follow anything traditional in this realm. I want something non-traditional and unique in the flavors. In fact if I could do away with the bridal cake, and replace is with Tiramisu, I would.
On the topic of Tiramisu, it is the world's most amazing dessert. Compliments of Italy.
Josh is amazing when it comes to being involved in the wedding. The idea that he is willing to hear "details" and help in all areas that he can, speaks volumes. He put's me to shame with patients and perseverance.
I digress...Josh & my mother have designed the invitations. Think dark red roses, elegant simplicity, with an Italian Twist! I'm head over heals in love with them! Now we are waiting on the sample prints. "Good things do come to those who wait"....I hear that much to often these days! I can't wait to put them in the mail!

I am all for going against tradition when it comes to the cake. I don't care beautiful it is, if it tastes gross, why bother? We had butter recipe yellow cake with chocolate moose between the layers. Chasing Dreams blog has a picture.
If you want Tiramisu, go for it! You could even do little tiramisu cakes.

I say go all out with the Tiramisu! We decided to nix the cake completely and instead had a pie buffet! It was a huge hit!

When I came to your blog this am I was not expecting to see my fav. thing in the world. Tiramsu. My wedding is no where near being close (gotta meet that guy:) However EVERYONE in my life knows that is what will be the dessert at my wedding. I saw someone do the tiramsu however to serve it it was cut with a cup into circle servings dusted with the coco and put on small plates. They also had a plain sheet cake for people who didint want it but that could be the grooms cake right. Oh my heck looks like I have to order lunch and add a pice of T. :)

I agree with Jenny.Lee. Go with tiramisu if thats what you love. Its your day. It should be all about your favorite things!
My mom LOVES tiramisu--- I've never been able to LOVE it the way she does-- I'm more of a chocolate nut.
