About Mrs. Southern Bride

A 25 year old Southern Bride, to my handsome architect, Joshua. I'm of Irish decent, with a passion for traveling the world, collecting shoes be it vintage or modern day shoes, purses and antique books!

I was born and raised in the south, but have traveled the world, with ventures to Mexico, Guatemala, France and over 17 states. We have traveled 9 out of 10 months of our marriage, doing our best to document each trip in pictures.

A former professional photographer and secretary, I now spend my time in freelance writing. Covering a wide range of topics, with a focus on finances. I'm also in the process of rebuilding my photography portfolio to include weddings, travel and missions photography.

I adore vintage. Whether it be a 50's dress, or 1940's classic from a beloved author. A voracious reader since my early days of Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. My tastes has grown to include Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Louisa May Alcott, Gene Stratton Porter and my all time favorite Harold Bell Wright. I began collecting Wright's books after attending a play that was based off his book"Shepherd of the Hill's" in Branson, Mo. I have enjoyed tours in the Silver Dollar City Cave where it was said he often wrote many of his manuscripts. To date I have 7 of his works, and hope to continue my collection through the years. You may know him better as the author who was praised by President Ronald Reagan, for after President Reagan read his book he gave his life to the one true King.

Couple a good book with a strong cup of French Press Coffee, or a delicious cup of tea, and I, my friend, am in heaven.

Life is too short to live without passion, without fervor and grace.
